Garfield County Hospital District is seeking a dependable and experienced full time cook to join our team! As a cook you would be serving up to 25 beds in a rehabilitation/hospital setting for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Duties include but are not limited to: Food preparation and cooking Maintaining clean work surfaces and kitchen area Maintain an organized work area Assist with stocking frozen and refrigerated items Work as a team lead in the absence of the manager Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflows Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines Benefits: Garfield County Hospital District offers a generous benefits and PTO package. PTO is front loaded, meaning your full balance is available to use 90 days after hire. We also offer an HRA that provides funds to spend for services at the hospital and Pomeroy Clinic, saving you on out-of-pocket medical costs. Requirements: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that would include holidays, weekends and occasional overtime. Worked holidays are paid at double time and a half, and the kitchen is open from 5:00am to 7:30pm. WA State Food Handler's permit and Serve Safe required within 30 days of hire. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
