Job Summary: With your PC programming skill set, familiarity with machine automation, and B&R PLC programming experience, you will become a specialized subject matter expert in an advanced conveyance platform used in ATS’s assembly automation. Your assignments will range from requirements analysis, conception, and design, all the way to implementation and troubleshooting. You will play a key role in supporting our integration teams, improving a new product to be best in class, and exceed customer expectations. Job Responsibilities: Develop and trouble shoot machine automation functionality in real-time control system software for automated assembly systems. This includes the programming of PLC's in the B&R Automation Studio environment. Develop C/C++ code to complement and improve machine functionality. Work with other designers to ensure that the control system will meet performance, reliability, and functionality requirements. Develop, test, and implement innovative functionality as required for new projects. Perform system integration. This includes the hands-on testing of all system hardware and software, the configuration and tuning of intelligent devices and the verification of the assembly process. Travel as required to deploy, troubleshoot, and support systems at customer facilities (Travel expectation is 0-15%/yr). Drive the continuous improvement of our designs and processes to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and push the envelope of what ATS is capable of. Interface with.
