We seek a dedicated individual who, while working under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor, will be responsible to observe, adjust, correct and operate all power plant machinery from the Bailey DCS control system to ensure the facility is operated in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Responsible for the administration of the Lock Out/Tag Out program. Instruct Equipment, Utility and Aux Operators in job-related duties pertaining to safety and efficient boiler house operating practices. Monitor other plant functions which adversely impct the overall production and opeation of the machinery. Maintain all assigned logs and records. Maintain housekeeping in the Control Room. Position responsibilities To be considered for the position, the individual must have 5 years directly related power industry background with progressive technical and supervisory responsibilities and possess: - Strong leadership and excellent oral and written correspondence abilities, including the expertise to problem solve and make good decisions. - The capability to manage critical events and prioritize in an emergency, providing clear direction in operational, safety, and environmental tasks. - The expertise to manage operations crew personnel; work in closed quarters and confined spaces; climb ladders and structures; lift and carry up to 50lbs; and tolerate heights and high temperatures. - Thorough understanding, of the Aux Operator and Control Room Operators' duties and responsibilities, and be capable of standing watch in any of these subsidiary positions. - A valid driver's license.
