About Us Did you know 8 in 10 American youth don't attend church but 9 in 10 attend public school? LifeWise Academy (lifewise.org) exists to reach the unchurched students in America's public schools with the Gospel. LifeWise Academy is a released time religious instruction program that allows kids to leave public school DURING the school day to receive Bible/gospel education. Released time is legal provided the programs are off school property, privately funded and parent permitted. Very few people know this is possible. In fact, most members of our organization hadn't heard of this concept until just a few years ago. But in reality, released time has been around for over 100 years and has been upheld by the supreme court as constitutional. Many states even have laws allowing high school students to receive school credit for released time classes! We believe released time is the greatest missed opportunity of the church in America to reach the next generation. But we want to change that and we need your help! About You You love Jesus. You love kids. You love T's crossed and I's dotted. As the Content Editor, you are attentive, analytical, helpful and efficient. You possess excellent written skills, attention to detail and accuracy. You maintain on-brand language and messaging and you have strong written and oral communications skills. As a results-driven and self-motivated individual, you are able to juggle multiple high-priority tasks at once. Your colleagues know you can easily dive into the details to crank out tasks and small projects yourself. At the end of the day, you do what it takes to get things done. Most importantly, you know this isn't just a job. It's a chance to do something meaningful. A chance to serve others. And a chance to make a life-changing impact on students with the Gospel. About the Job We are looking for a gospel-centered, results-driven and detail-oriented Content Editor to join our team. This full-time position will operate out of our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio or remotely and will focus on editing and creating written content, ensuring accuracy and on-brand messaging. Responsibilities ✦ Edit content for internal and external publication and communication ✦ Complete a variety of writing projects and meet tight deadlines ✦ Collaborate effectively with other writers and team members ✦ Provide customer support for language components ✦ Assist with ongoing knowledge base maintenance (Salesforce) ✦ Maintain process documentation ✦ Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications for senior staff ✦ Complete a wide variety of administrative tasks and projects Qualifications ✦ A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith ✦ Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (preferred) ✦ Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills ✦ Strong written and verbal communication ✦ Ability to work with and effectively communicate with users of all levels of knowledge and skill ✦ Adept at refining written materials for clarity and consistency ✦ High degree of attention to detail ✦ Exceptional customer service ✦ Comfortable with routinely shifting demands Salary and Benefits ✦ From $45,000 per year ✦ Medical, dental, and vision coverage for qualified employees ✦ Retirement plan, including employer match ✦ Unlimited PTO for qualified employees
