This position is tailored for an attorney with at least four years of experience in regulatory matters about consumer finance. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the intricacies of consumer financial regulations, particularly those associated with payments, credit products, and compliance with laws governing unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts.DutiesProvide expert legal guidance on compliance with consumer financial regulations at both state and federal levels.Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements concerning payments and credit products.Draft and review legal documents related to consumer financial products, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on emerging trends in FinTech, cryptocurrency, and digital assets.Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive compliance strategies tailored to client needs.Maintain strong communication with clients to keep them informed about regulatory updates and case developments.RequirementsMinimum of four years of experience in consumer financial regulatory matters.Strong familiarity with laws related to payments and credit products.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a dedication to high-quality client service.Experience with FinTech, mortgage services, cryptocurrency, and other innovative financial platforms is advantageous.Must be a member of a local bar association in good standing; prior law firm experience is not mandatory.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsLicensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.SkillsStrong analytical and research skills to inform regulatory compliance strategies.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.A proactive approach to problem-solving and client engagement.Location Chicago, ILBenefitsComprehensive health and wellness programs.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity and equity.Participation in initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of growth and community engagement.
