Bristol Bay Construction Holdings (BBCH) is seeking an experienced Superintendent/Site Safety & Health Officer to join the SES Electrical LLC (SEL) team, a subsidiary of BBCH. Scope of Work: US Marshal Service Detention Area HVAC Upgrades. The Contractor shall provide professional construction services to bring the USMS Detention Area (upper/entire floor of the existing occupied facility) into USMS Publication 64 compliance in accordance with technical specs and drawings. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: • Install government-furnished materials (such as detention ceilings, furniture, etc.)• Conduct selective building and equipment demolition as necessary• Extend privacy screens and attach them to the concrete deck above per the plans• Provide GMU wall infill required to maintain negative pressure within cellblock• Provide miscellaneous fireproofing so that the cellblock is compliant• Procure and install the plumbing materials and accessories as prescribed• Purchase, install, and TAB the HVAC equipment as prescribed• Provide the electrical requirements as prescribed• Install the controls for new HVAC equipment and any other controls as prescribed• Provide fire life safety work as prescribed• Provide design drawings only for the electrical conduit for the USMS contractor-installed security devices and provide/install the electrical conduit Responsibilities:• Manage overall quality and production of work and conformance to contract documents.• Manage/maintain all necessary planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting for project activities.• Coordinate/communicate with the Project Manager daily.• Coordinate/communicate with the Owner as necessary.• Manage daily subcontractor, contractor, owner, inspector, and AHJ field coordination.• Manage/maintain weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.• Attend/participate in weekly Owner’s meetings.• Review and be knowledgeable of the subcontractor’s subcontracted scope of work. Manage all coordination necessary to complete the scope of work and prevent extra work or lost time to the greatest extent possible.• Be familiar with the subcontractor’s budget and cost structure.• Review and be knowledgeable of the baseline project schedule. Provide monthly input on dates, durations, and coordination.• Prepare weekly short-term detailed look-ahead schedules.• Request, prepare, and hold coordination meetings as necessary to support the project schedule.• Coordinate monthly with the subcontractors and Owner for progress billing.• Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, site safety orientation, activity-specific training, and enforcement.• Perform safety meetings.• Attend the pre-construction conference and pre-work meetings including three-phase inspection meetings.• Develop and review preconstruction safety submittals for compliance.• Create, implement, and enforce the site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) or site safety plan.• Review, develop, and enforce subcontractor activity-specific Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).• Monitor and manage sub-contractor safety and health compliance.• Verify safety qualifications.• Conduct continuous safety and health inspections, maintain a written log including date of inspection, area/operation inspected, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, and estimated and actual dates of corrections.• Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports.• Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system monitoring outstanding deficiencies until resolution.• Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily quality control report and document/submit accordingly.• Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and daily production reports for prime and sub-contractors.• Maintain safety reference material on the job site.• Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on-site and their material safety data sheets.• Probable off-hours work. Qualifications:• Minimum of 5 years of Superintendent and SSHO experience on similar projects including mechanical systems.• Federal construction experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or Coast Guard is preferred.• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances as required by the task order (background check and fingerprints).• OSHA 30hr• Proficient with EM385 1-1• Experience with Procore and RMS project management systems. Kahua management system experience preferred.• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.• Communication skills, written and verbal.• Ability to receive and give constructive feedback.• As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions: Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
