Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our construction management team.The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering in a construction setting.This position will be full-time, on-site, within New York City, NY. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Working directly under the supervision of the Design Standards Unit Manager and the Assistant Manager. Providing technical and design services in support of electrical design projects, in order to produce construction drawings and specifications for clients. Reviewing construction documents, calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards. Coordinating the review comments from others technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments. Attending meeting with project Architect/Engineer of Records to discuss the review comments and resolve the issues perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Candidate must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of five (5) years of diverse experience in building electrical installation, protection, codes design. Working familiarity with applicable local, state and national electrical codes (NEC). Proper understanding of electrical discipline related to building design and construction of commercial facilities. Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written Comprehensive computer skills, proficient in MS Suite, and ability & interest to learn various in-house and external software (Share Point, eBuilder, etc.) Professional engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey required.
