It all begins with you. Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on 3 key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Wells Fargo Compliance is the company s compliance independent risk management function, providing company-wide leadership, standards, support, and independent oversight to ensure that all front-line business groups abide by applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance (regulatory requirements), meet compliance responsibilities, and manage compliance risks. Wells Fargo Compliance credibly challenges management decisions, business processes and activities, and evaluates and assesses adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. It provides appropriate analysis, reporting, and escalation to senior management and the Board of Directors, sets min standards for the company, and gives advice, guidance, and support for compliance risk management activities across the enterprise. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Compliance Process Risk Consultant will work very closely with Business Unit Compliance Officers and line of business teammates to evaluate and mitigate process risks across WFS Compliance. This person will evaluate current business processes and practices, identify process risks, process gaps, and lead project teams to mitigate or eliminate said risks. The best applicant for this opportunity must have a proven work history of successfully leading and executing projects that involve process reengineering and process improvement. They will be proficient in identifying, assessing, and baselining current ( As-Is ) business processes; as well as, designing future state ( To Be ) processes. This person will identify high-leverage opportunities for applying 6 Sigma DMAIC methodology across the organization.Other key assignments include: creating process maps, conducting root cause analyses, conducting data analyses, and coaching other teammates on 6 Sigma methodology and techniques. Leads large, medium to high risk , complex projects, and manage activities in a DMAIC project life cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) Expertise to work efficiently in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important Consults with business partners to clarify and define problem statement, business case, project scope, and objectives Performs capability analyses, scopes projects, and works with the project management and senior leadership to prioritizes deliverables Serves as a change agent in WFS Compliance to help drive continuous improvements throughout the compliance program Create and deliver presentations, to illustrate schedules and dependencies, to senior management on project progress, business value, goals, critical path, key issues/risks, changes, and dependencies This position is located in Charlotte, NC. Minimum requirements 6yrs of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6 yrs of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3yrs must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Requirements A BS/BA degree or higher in details technology Financial services industry experience Intermediate Microsoft Project skills Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies Expertise to interact with all levels of an organization Advanced Microsoft office suite skills Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities Strong issue solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Requirements Expertise to manage multiple projects associated with multiple lines of businesses Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt Certified Model Risk management background a plus 6yrs track record managing multiple Lean 6 Sigma projects within a large organization iGrafx and Minitab proficiency a plus Knowledge of the prescribed project methodology and deliverables; Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt preferred Knowledge of the prescribed project methodology and deliverables; Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt preferred Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) experience Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the applicant having successfully completed a criminal experience investigation.
