In this role with high executive visibility, the SSD commodity manager will be leading procurement of NetApp's highest spend commodity. The SSD Commodity Manager will be working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain and Finance teams to generate sourcing/procurement strategies that are aligned to NetApp's broader corporate goals while also considering the complex dynamics related to the SSD/NAND storage market and supply base.The SSD commodity manager will: Manage the SSD/Flash supply base; including owning the supplier relationships with both current and perspective suppliers, ensuring appropriate executive engagement, and executing daily and cyclical operational activities entailed with the SSD commodity. Be a subject matter expert in the SSD, DRAM and NAND market and its supply base. The individual should be able to generate point of view on vendors and market trends. Hold a technical understanding of SSD/flash technologies to derive the relationship between roadmap choices and business outcomes. Craft sourcing & procurement strategies by collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance teams and working through competing priorities. Influence internal and external engineering, product management and marketing teams on roadmap decisions to target NetApp business critical needs such as supply continuity and competitive cost structures. Ability to present and proficiently communicate to executives, including C-Staff, on a regular basis. Conduct cost and volume analysis considering complex tradeoffs and highlighting risks in order to generate recommendations on multimillion-dollar purchases. Negotiate best-in-class pricing and legals terms via agreements such as MSA/MPA, SOW, LTA, LOA, NDA, IP Dev Agreements. Be the expert for commercial items with your suppliers and products they sell and/or could sell to NetApp Job Requirements A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in procurement for a technology company or account management/marketing working for a leading memory/storage semiconductor company. Knowledge and expertise in the SSD, DRAM, and NAND markets and its supply base The ideal candidate is strong analytically, is a master negotiator, possesses effective communication skills and works well under pressure Demonstrated track record working with key suppliers in memory/storage semiconductor companies. Proven track record of complex problem solving that required strong analytical and negotiation skills. Highly skilled with PowerPoint and Excel. Power BI is a plus Education Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Engineering equivalent technical degree. USA and Canada Residents Only: The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is [$112,950] - [$171,270]. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.
