The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance transactions, excellent client relations skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently.Job DescriptionDutiesRepresent lenders in commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured bank and private equity fund lending from origination through documentation.Advise banks, private equity funds, and other financial institutions on documenting credit transactions.Guide UCC Article 9 and mortgage and property law.Prepare, review, and negotiate loan documents and related agreements.Conduct due diligence and manage closing processes.Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progress.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all transactions.Requirements1-3 years of experience representing lenders in commercial lending transactions at a law firm, bank, or finance company.Experience representing lenders in commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured bank and private equity fund lending.Familiarity with UCC Article 9 and mortgage and property law.Strong communication and client relation skills.Ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously and meet client deadlines.Strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.Superior academic credentials.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsMember in good standing or eligible to waive into the Illinois Bar.SkillsExcellent communication and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Strong client relationship management skills.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Job LocationChicago, IL This diversified corporate and financial firm has more than 90 years of experience in developing innovative and practical legal solutions for complex finance problems.
