CNC Programmer/Machinist

Description:
JAKTOOL is looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist who will be responsible for supporting precision prototype services through programming and operation of machine tools and the application of engineering technology. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of machine tool geometry and kinematics. CNC PROGRAMMING AND EXECUTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop manufacturing processes and documentation including but not limited to tooling selection, work-holding, custom tooling/fixturing, CAM programming, finishing processes, work instructions, control plans Program, Setup, and Operate CNC Mills/Lathes/Swiss Machine/EDM Understand and apply GD&T Qualify parts being made with SMTE, with assistance from QC when applicable Maintain schedule of projects through manufacturing phase Pursue and apply the latest manufacturing technology and industry-related processes. Participate in periodic product development and design review meetings Collaborating with rest of team to formulate and implement operating procedures, resolve issues, and provide technical information/feedback SKILLS + EXPERIENCE: Solid and proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer/Machinist/Toolmaker. Must include portfolio of example projects. Experience in MasterCAM software Experience with 5-axis machining, Swiss lathe machining, live tool lathes Familiarity with FANUC, HAAS, MITSUBISHI, SIEMENS, CELOS controls Lean manufacturing experience ISO 9001/ISO 13485 Experience Must have strong problem solving skills CNC Programming and Execution Experience Required Macro/Post Processor experience a plus EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering and 3 years experience OR 5+ years of hands-on machine shop work experience
