CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

Summary: This position is a 3rd shift position. The hours are 10pm - 6m Monday through Friday. Training will take place on 1st shift. The CNC Machinist will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating CNC Machine equipment, gaging parts, making dimensional offsets, preparing raw material, and keeping the area clean. The machinist will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and maintain CNC equipment Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications Change tools as necessary to ensure dimensional compliance Make dimensional offsets on computer to ensure compliance Move material or assist with equipment when needed Clean work area, including mopping Perform various maintenance activities Work with office and supporting departments Qualification Requirements: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience running a CNC Lathe Must be able to read non digital micrometers Must be able to read blue prints Must be able to do mathematics: add, subtract, multiply, divide, geometry and trigonometry. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications Must be cooperative and a team player Must have good communication skills Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: Sit, stand and walk on oily surfaces Moving material routinely Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Salary Range: $20/hour to $25/hour plus 10% shift premium Powered by JazzHR
