Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machine Leads for a company located in Costa Mesa, CA.As an CNC Machine Lead you will: * Leadership and Coordination: Monitors manufacturing operations within the CNC machine area, leading and coordinating the activities of the team. * Machine Operation: Sets up and operates CNC machines and other related equipment efficiently. * Resource Management: Manages requests for tool and supply purchases. Monitors usage on the floor to prevent waste. * Problem Resolution: Reviews general machine shop-related issues with management, engineering, and programming. Provides clear and concise feedback to resolve problems effectively. * Training: Trains operators on how to effectively, efficiently, and safely set up and operate shop equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, cranes, hand tools/power tools, and measuring equipment. * Performance Management: Reads, interprets, and evaluates employee performance via production-related reports. Monitors and takes initiative based on data such as quality reports, key performance indicators, and safety data to enforce peak performance. * Compliance and Safety: Ensures strict adherence to company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.This is a full time opportunity. 5 days a week. 8+ hours per day.The ideal candidate will be: * Proficient in CNC machine setup and operation.Schedule: 6am to 230pmDays: Monday-FridayPay Rate: $29-$37 per hour The ideal candidate will have: * Ability to use standard precision measuring instruments to check linear, angular and configuration of raw, in-process, and completed parts to tolerances of .0001" * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work specifications * Knowledge of machine shop and inspection practices*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
