Individuals with previous Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse experience are preferred. Position Summary: Clinical Support Specialists perform the functions outlined below. Full-time Clinical Support Specialists assigned to On- site Clinical Facilitation may have combined responsibility for care coordination in facilities and a BHI caseload. Clinical Support Specialists who are not assigned to facilities will have one primary set of responsibilities and be directed by the manager of the program or department they support. All Clinical Support Specialists will be expected to be cross-trained and provide support for each of the functions outlined below in accordance with the needs of the business, clinicians, and patients. Primary Responsibilities: On-Site Clinical Facilitation- Employees performing On-Site Facilitation provide patient education related to telehealth care processes and behavioral health care. They utilize an EHR to document clinical observations, information, and patient education. Key responsibilities include providing technical support for telehealth services, planning encounters to ensure resources are available at the appropriate time, preparing the room and equipment for the clinical encounter, supporting the clinician by accessing vitals and other relevant data from the facilities’ EHR, acting as a liaison between the clinician and facility staff, interacting with staff and family members when necessary and complying with proper handling and cleaning of equipment. Employees in this role will be expected to travel to facilities within one hour of their homes. BHI- Employees filling this role will be assigned a caseload of patients. Each month, the Specialist will gather the relevant data needed from our customers’ medical records and enter it into our BHI tool. Each specialist will be responsible for approximately 450 patients and completion of an average of twenty (20) patient records per day. Specialists filling this role will have experience as pharmacy technicians or medical assistants. Go! Support- Employees in this role support the on-boarding of new facilities and coordination of services to customers who facilitate clinics with local staff. Daily assignments will include leading product demos, managing live chat, training facility personnel on all the functions of the digital hub (referring residents, uploading schedules, starting a telehealth session, and accessing the virtual waiting room), assisting facilities with referrals and orders and building relationships with multiple points of contact. Specialists will utilize the CRM tool and CSS Portal to track account management calls, emails, and other activity. Clinician Support- This role is best described as a virtual medical assistant. Each specialist in this role will be assigned to support specific clinicians by accessing the facility EMR and recording relevant data into Avatar allowing the clinician's time with the patients to be more efficient. The number of clinicians supported by each Specialist will vary depending on factors including the committed time from each clinician, facility size and facility caseloads. Ambulatory Program- Specialists in this role will support our ambulatory program and MediStaffCare which provide services to patients in the community including employees of our facility partners. These duties will include intake, scheduling, direct contact with the patients seeking care and coordination with clinicians. Other Duties: All Clinical Support Specialists will be assigned at least one of the Essential Functions and be proficient in additional Essential Functions as may be assigned by management. Each role may change from time to time depending on the needs of our customers and changes in the healthcare industry. All Clinical Support Specialist work in collaboration with other departments including, but not limited to, intake, scheduling, and clinical teams.
