About the Department: The pharmacy at Montrose Regional Health is a health care service, which comprises the art, practice, and profession of choosing, preparing, storing, compounding, and dispensing medicines and medical devices, advising patients, doctors , nurses and other healthcare professionals on their safe, effective and efficient use. About The Career: The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care to all patients of the hospital. They provide centralized and decentralized oversight to patients with a wide range of disease states. P harmaceutical care services incorporate but are not limited to assessing patient needs, incorporating age and disease specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education, adjusting recommendations based on patient response, and offering interventions to help prevent medication adverse events. All About You : Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Colorado. Training & Experience: Previous experience in hospital pharmacy and/or hospital pharmacy residency (preferred), Advanced Cardiac Life support certification (ACLS) (preferred). Job Knowledge: Must understand the role of the Pharmacy Department in the hospital and relationships within the department and with other departments.
