And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) As a Care Coordination Clinical Consulting Manager , you will collaborate closely with health system leaders to drive the execution of their highest priority initiatives. You will be responsible for developing strategies to solve complex business problems and managing the execution of large scale projects and programs.The perfect applicant for this role must be passionate about driving improvements in performance, effective at working in a fast-paced, quick paced environment and confident in their interactions with senior leaders, providers, and business partners. Key responsibilities: Structure complex business problems into project frameworks that can be analyzed and solved Research and apply critical thinking to industry trends, competitor dynamics and current events to provide relevant business insights Direct responsibility for the oversight, hands on participation, and delivery of large scale projects/programs. Large scale programs are defined as high cost, high complexity and/or high risk Build consensus amongst client stakeholders who play a critical key role in the expertise to successfully implement the identified solutions Lead consulting teams to accurately diagnose the issues the client has identified (as well as underlying issues), and determine the appropriate solutions that will lead the client to achieve best practice performance. Support and/or lead the creation of sales pursuit materials and other business development activities (e.g. proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)) Provide status updates and review of projects/programs to senior leadership Provide strategic input to the development of project/program roadmap and timelines Support the management of resources within projects/programs Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies Provide coaching and mentoring of project team with the goal of developing and retaining talent within the organization Necessary background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent background 5+ years of background in any of the following areas: Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Project Management, General Consulting and/or Business Process Improvement 3+ years supervisory background Experience leading large scale programs (engagement management) including leading multiple engagements simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite; Ms word, PowerPoint, Ms excel Expertise to travel up to 25% of the time Primary residence must be located in Northern California, and able to commute to the East Bay to work onsite in the office up to five days per week. Preferred Requirements: Background with care management processes and/or clinical variation reduction initiative Healthcare provider background Advanced Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA, MS) Expertise to work autonomously with minimal supervision Careers with Optum.
