The beach is calling! The Clinic Supervisor provides supervision for daily clinic operations. Ensures optimal daily patient flow and allocations of resources to meet demands for services with available staff. Addresses patient care or service issues, as necessary. Responsible for monitoring the overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis, as well as ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. Staffing and scheduling. Supports and directs staff members in providing compassionate care and services to patients and families. Supervises daily activities, focusing on operations and effective use of resources within the established budget. Responsible for operational performance including the quality, service environment, and regulatory compliance. Must present a professional attitude and appearance. Job Title: Clinic Supervisor Department: Ocean Beach Medical Clinics Reports To: Clinic Manager Education/Experience/Minimum Qualifications: RN or LPN licensed in Washington State and a clear understanding of working with clinical and non-clinical staff. Minimum 3 years working as a nurse in a healthcare setting with 2 years in a supervisory capacity; EPIC EMR and Access Services experience strongly preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Understanding of ambulatory practice patterns and workflow in a clinic setting. Demonstrates strong capacity for leadership; Ability to effectively delegate tasks to personnel and supervise their completion; Demonstrates organizational skills and is able to prioritize duties and responsibilities. Understands how systems are used by physicians, clinical teams, scheduling teams, and billing teams. Understands reporting requirements of clinics. Understands billing needs of clinics. Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. Demonstrated ability to communicate both oral and written effectively with clinical and non-clinical personnel verbally and in writing. Experience with practice management and EMR applications preferred. Demonstrated customer orientation. Excellent leadership and teaching abilities. Demonstrated project management experience. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Job Responsibilities: Supervise assigned caregivers with full personnel action authority. Monitor and evaluate performance and accountability of staff. Evaluate competence and initiate performance improvement plans to develop staff, provide meaningful and constructive feedback. Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring, and development of caregivers. Ensure the completion of mandatory training and in-services. Responsible for scheduling and time off management of direct reports. Work with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services, and operations of the department. Serve as a resource in the overall delivery of patient care backssing clinical practice, identifying needs, and recommending solutions. Collaborate with other departments in meeting the needs of patients, families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and departments. Establish and maintain effective relationships. Provide operational support with clinical processes, policies, procedures, and budget management. Assist with compliance with policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws. Completes all back-office training to ensure consistency to onboarding staff. Serve as point of contact for staff for matters including managed care, insurance, operational and customer service issues. Serve as back up and support for Clinic Manager when off site. Respond to problems/opportunities to improve patient experience and staff environment. Complete Action Cue assignment. Provides back up support for Medical Assistance and Nurses as necessary to ensure seamless clinic operation by performing Medical Assistant and Nurse function. Demonstrates commitment to the team. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Must be able to respond to emergencies. CPR certification is required within 6 months. Supports Organizational Mission, Values, and Strategic Goals.
