Job Responsibilities Anticipate the needs of others (clients, staff, leadership, etc.) and ensure their seamless and positive experience with BrightStar Care. Handle all scheduling matters for skilled and non-skilled clients, including daily shift coverage coordination and reconciliation of staff clock-in/out activity compared to the master schedule. Serve as point of contact for client and employee relations - actively engage clients and employees to ensure the agency meets/exceeds weekly revenue targets. Communicate with all stakeholders in a caring and professional manner. Daily collection and review of patient documentation and nurse's notes to ensure all required notes are complete and turned in timely to avoid any delays in patient care, claim or invoice submission, or payment. Collection, distribution and storage of all patient documentation and clinical records (e.g., physician orders, authorizations, nursing notes, etc.) for purposes of evaluation and reporting. Assist with referral intake, benefits verification and eligibility, authorizations, payroll tasks, and billing collections efforts. Conduct satisfaction surveys with clients and employees to ensure satisfaction across all aspects of care and employment with the agency. Communicate and escalate field staff performance issues to management. Conduct in-person interviews and onboarding follow-up with caregiving candidates (i.e., nurses and aides) Check-in new hires during orientation, including drug tests, fingerprinting, and badges. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation (phone only, typically one week on, three weeks off) Attend and participate in office meetings as needed. Answer phones and handle the caller's needs. Greet people coming into the office lobby. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School diploma or GED in combination with any type of medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant Certificate, State Tested Nursing Assistant Registration, etc.) Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree (or working towards) Minimum three (3) years of healthcare / patient care experience. Ability to travel within the assigned territory daily including weekends, nights, and holidays. Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills-ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and community. Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem-solve in stressful situations. Ability to manage complaints and difficult situations requiring critical thinking. Ability to give and take direction, absorb information quickly, and work independently or within a team. Comfortable with technology (i.e., strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and Google) Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance. Up-to-date vaccinations including Influenza, COVID-19, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Rubella, Varicella, MMR, and Hepatitis B.. Ability to pass drug, background, and criminal record checks Ability to travel within designated territory when needed including weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to participate in after-hours office on-call rotation one week per month. Licensed driver with reliable and insured automobile (proof of insurance required) Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
