Practice Area: Litigation - Class Actions - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm seeks a dedicated and talented Class Action Attorney to join its litigation team in Burbank, CA. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in consumer rights and class action litigation, who is highly motivated and has a strong passion for advocating on behalf of consumers. The successful candidate will manage a full caseload and be responsible for evaluating and litigating class action claims, drafting legal documents, and collaborating with a team of professionals.Duties:Evaluate potential class action claims, particularly related to consumer rights, and determine whether they meet the criteria for class action certification.Conduct in-depth legal research and case preparation to support class action litigation.Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and other necessary filings for class action cases.Collaborate with colleagues in the Class Action department to strategize and provide comprehensive legal support.Manage a full case docket, ensuring timely progression and resolution of each matter.Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel throughout the litigation process.Stay informed on developments in consumer rights law, particularly the California Labor Code.Requirements:Strong background in consumer class action litigation (preferred).Deep understanding of the California Labor Code and related laws.Exceptional legal writing and research skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documents and presentations.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar is required.Skills:Experience in consumer class action law is preferred.Strong understanding of the California Labor Code and consumer protection laws.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage complex legal matters and maintain an organized docket.Effective collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team.High attention to detail with a commitment to producing top-notch legal work.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Flexible time off plans, including Paid Time Off (PTO), paid parental leave, and paid holidays.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a supportive work environment.
