This role demands a high degree of expertise in claims management, liability analysis, and strategic resolution planning, along with a proactive approach to litigation management and client satisfaction.DutiesConduct comprehensive investigations into claims, assessing coverage, liability, and damages to establish appropriate resolution strategies.Manage litigation processes, including engaging defense counsel, reviewing pleadings, and budgets, and managing expenses.Prepare written determinations of coverage by analyzing policy language and coordinating with coverage counsel as needed.Document communications, claim activities, and key transactions to maintain organized electronic claim files.Foster exceptional client service by managing all claim aspects and providing regular updates to insured parties, claimants, and business partners.Collaborate with internal and external teams to expedite claim resolution, maintaining transparency and proactive communication throughout.Monitor and report on significant risks and losses, producing detailed loss summaries for management.Represent the firm in mediation, court proceedings, and other legal situations as necessary.RequirementsEducation: Juris Doctor (JD) degreeCertifications: Active Insurance License in at least one of the following states: Florida, Texas, New York, or CaliforniaExperience: 7 years in claims management, with expertise in claims resolution and insurance principlesSkillsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, including negotiation and presentation.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a capacity for independent decision-making.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.Proven ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and exercise sound judgment.Ability to take a strategic approach to align business objectives with long-term claim resolution goals.Job LocationDeerfield, IL
