This role offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing remote work with occasional in-office requirements for those within driving distance. The successful candidate will play an essential role in managing various aspects of case preparation, litigation, and client representation, with a focus on construction defect and casualty claims.Duties:Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.Provide legal counsel and expert advice to clients.Manage case-related tasks, ensuring timely updates to clients and their insurers.Prepare for trial, including witness preparation and courtroom representation.Requirements:Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and legal practices.Proven experience drafting and arguing motions.Ability to navigate court processes effectively and efficiently.Experience in trial preparation, including witness examination and depositions.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Active member of the California State Bar.Experience in handling construction defect and/or casualty claims is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar (required).Skills:Expertise in civil litigation, particularly in construction and casualty claims.Strong case management and organizational skills.Proficiency in conducting depositions and trial preparation.Excellent communication skills for client interactions and legal documentation.Critical thinking and analytical skills to navigate complex legal issues.
