The Children's Ministry Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the Children's Ministry at City Light Church. This person will be responsible for teaching, nurturing children, communicating with parents, and overseeing a team of volunteers. Additionally, this role will involve administration and coordination of our committees. This is a full-time position that includes benefits.Job DescriptionChurch Overview:City Light Church is a diverse, Gospel-Centered ministry located in Downtown Los Angeles and affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America.Qualifications:This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, experience with leading a Children's Ministry, and basic administration skills.Children's Ministry Responsibilities:The Children's Ministry Director will lead and help to develop a gospel-centered ministry to our children. They will engage with parents, teach, and organize volunteers on Sunday mornings. Developing a long-term vision for our children to grow into godly men and women. Teaching at a weekly Children's Sunday service. Overseeing the curriculum used for all of our classrooms. Recruiting and training teachers. Communicating with parents. Visiting families and helping parents in their responsibility of spiritually nurturing their children. Ensuring our ministry is in compliance with all state and federal laws.Administration Responsibilities: Volunteer Coordination: Coordinating meetings for our various ministry leaders and ensuring that all of our various committee leaders are informed and supported. Communication: Emailing the church to update them on the events, announcements, and other updates. Sunday Bulletins: Printing out the weekly bulletins that have been prepared by our Arts and Media director.
