The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, BC, Dentist to serve as the Section Chief of its Dental Service. Highlights of this position include: Competitive Starting Salary $200,000 - $250,000 Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm; Compressed schedule may be authorized at supervisors discretion Ensures dental care is delivered in accordance with hospital policy, meeting or exceeding community standards and VHA national benchmarks Ensures dental care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings are smooth, patient centered, and safe Supervises all operational aspects of the Dental Service and professional staff Develops strong, collegial working relationships with other leaders within the medical center (both clinical and administrative), and with other service Chiefs/section heads Oversees the development and implementation of systems redesigns projects, quality improvements and assurance programs of inpatient services Recognizes and modifies care based on age, development, and cultural needs of patients Additional Requirements: Board Certified Dentist (DDS) Three (3) year experience as a dentist One (1) year supervisory experience Must be a U. S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U. S. Citizen is not found Full and unrestricted license from any U. S.
