Chief Finance Officer Location: Rochester Hours: The role is full time 35 hours per week. Part time hours will be considered for the right candidate. Pay: The annual salary is A GBP 60,000 for 35 hours per week. Deadline: 9.00am on Monday 12 th February 2024. About the role Our client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as Chief Financial Officer, which is one of two statutory chief officer roles within the Cathedral. The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will lead in the development and implementation of the Cathedrals financial strategy and objectives, providing expert financial guidance and support to Chapter and senior colleagues to develop strategy to deliver Chapters vision. The postholder will ensure law and regulatory compliance and that all aspects of financial planning and management are conducted to provide accurate, relevant and timely financial information to the Cathedral, its trading arm, Rochester Cathedral Enterprises Ltd (RCEL) and its partner Rochester Cathedral Trust. The CFO will also lead, and line manage a small finance team. The CFO will also support the Head of Estates in the development of the Cathedrals Estate Master Plan and the Net Zero Carbon Strategy. Essential Role Requirements ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA qualified Relevant experience of working in a senior level as a CFO/Head of Finance or Finance Manager supporting the full range of activities required. Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for the management of charitable organisations. Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non: financial audiences. A confident leader with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their personal and organisational goals. Ability to combine strategic thinking and the ability to be hands: on.
