Clarke University's Chemistry program offers the B.A. degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, B.S. degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science. We support students seeking Biology, Nursing, Psychology and other majors. We are committed to excellence in education, research and practice. Our suite of instrumentation includes GC-MS, HPLC, 90 MHz NMR, ATR/FT-IR and a Fluorescence Spectrophotometer among others. We strongly emphasize hands-on usage of instrumentation by students from their first year in addition to training them in current chemical software. We invite individuals holding a Ph.D/ABD in Organic Chemistry or closely related field to apply for this this full-time, tenure track position in Chemistry. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lecture and labs for Organic Chemistry I and II as well as a one-semester survey course (GOB), develop upper level courses in their area of expertise and oversee undergraduate research projects. Preference will be given to applicants with experience employing student-centered learning strategies.
