This leadership role offers the support of a collaborative team and ample resources to grow your practice, mentor emerging professionals, and cultivate a balanced work environment without compensation-based pressures typical in other leadership positions.DutiesLead and manage the Labor Employment Practice Group, providing strategic direction and oversightMentor, train, and inspire associate attorneys and staff within the practice groupOversee litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA actions, EDD disputes, and FEHA casesConduct legal and factual investigations and develop litigation strategies for client casesActively engage in client relationship management, ensuring effective communication and representationAssist in creating HR compliance plans and performing wage and hour analysesMaintain thought leadership in labor and employment law, representing the firm as an industry authorityCollaborate with other departments to promote teamwork and foster a supportive firm cultureRequirementsProven track record as a labor and employment attorney with expertise in California labor law, wage and hour disputes, and employment litigationStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team, cultivating an inclusive and positive work environmentExcellent client relationship management abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to ethics, civility, and teamworkFamiliarity with commission-based and piece-rate pay structures is an assetEducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive membership in the California State Bar in good standingSkillsIn-depth knowledge of California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and employment litigation proceduresStrong analytical, research, and writing skillsEffective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and other professionalsAbility to handle high-stakes litigation and complex employment cases independentlyHigh emotional intelligence with the ability to foster a collaborative work environmentBenefitsComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceCompetitive retirement plan with above-average contributionsFlexible work schedule, with minimal office attendance requirementsFirm-wide commitment to diversity, inclusion, and a supportive cultureRobust marketing and administrative support Founded in 2013, this firm has been recognized as a top boutique automotive law firm in California.
