Palos Surgicenter is offering an excellent opportunity for a full-time OR Certified Surgical Technician. Summary: Responsible for assisting surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for procedures and passes items as needed to the operating team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating room. Responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. To assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and Joint Commission regulations and Center policies and procedures. To maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Required: State certification up to date and in good standing CPR and computer skills Excellent interpersonal skills At least 1 year of hospital or ambulatory surgery experience Preferred: Experience in cataract surgery 4 days per week Monday - Friday, with a monthly rotating single Saturday per month, no holidays, no call.
