As the Busser/Food Runner you will work closely with servers to make sure every guest has an amazing experience! Come be a part of an exciting hospitality driven, team oriented environment. Baja Inspired: Casero Taqueria is a Baja inspired taqueria experience with a focus on community! Our house-made corn and flour tortillas, salsas, and guacamole is literally just the start. We invite you to enjoy our chef-inspired menu where our proprietary Casero tortillas, marinades and dedication to Mexican flavors set our tacos apart from any other Mexican restaurant in town. Come for the food and stay for our awesome bar, dining room, and amazing patio you will want to enjoy with you family and friends. Position Summary: The Busser/Runner will be diligent in assisting and supporting our servers at Casero Taqueria. As a Busser/Runner, you will be responsible for cleaning, clearing, and setting tables, running food to guest, ensuring that the restaurant supplies and equipment are clean and maintained, and assisting guests with requests. To ensure success as a Busser/Runner, you should be highly organized and have a keen eye for detail. A skilled Busser/Runner should be good with their hands, highly efficient, and be able to provide a great level of customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities , the essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Welcoming guests, ensuring tables are clean and ready for guests, and taking food orders out to guests Assisting guests with questions, requests, and redirecting to appropriate person as necessary Ensuring that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset between seatings Delivering food in a timely manner, presenting the food in an appetizing and pleasing method, and refilling non alcoholic beverages Assisting with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware Ensuring that the menus and cutlery are clean, and replenished between tables Managing the inventory of napkins, straws, salt, pepper, and other table condiments and supplies Reporting any damages, shortages, and complaints to the manager Moving tables, chairs, and furniture to accommodate customers as needed Tidying the restaurant after service and ensuring that it is prepped for the following service Being a strong support to servers and other team members as needed Performing other work-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): High school diploma or GED preferred A food handler's card/license preferred A passion for customer service and working in the restaurant industry Excellent customer service skills A keen eye for detail Excellent organizational and time management skills The ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal communication abilities Ability to move furniture and stand for long periods of time Willingness to work long hours and on weekends and public holidays He/She is "down to earth"...but can also "get down to business"
