This may be the opportunity for you!McCluskey Transportation is currently seeking a full-time Driver Trainer to join our team. You will deliver our training program for new employees and refresher courses for existing employees, ensuring that operational benchmarks, best practices and safety standards are achieved.The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess superior leadership skills in the training and development of our professional drivers. The ideal candidate must have high attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Conduct daily classroom sessions and provide effective Class B school bus training to new trainees and the continued education of current drivers * Prepare information packages for new trainees and submit training and trainer reports * Perform incident investigations and maintain accurate up-to-date paperwork and file management * Provide company and bi-annual road tests and assessments * Knowledge of applicable laws and driving regulations and be familiar with McClusky policies and ensuring prospective employees adhere to company procedures * Actively maintain the cleanliness of personal and team workspaces, including vehicles. * Be accessible to drivers with any questions or concerns they may have with Training & Development as well as providing continuous improvement to further develop skills as a School Bus DriverKnowledge and Skills Required: * Valid Class B driver's license with a clean driver's abstract * Pass a drug and alcohol test and criminal record check * Must possess a SBDIC Certification * Completion of the PRIDE Program or greater * Previous driver training experience * Previous experience in a school bus operation/commercial driving /transportation industry * Excellent driving skills with a focus on customer service and attention to safety and procedures * Maintain a high level of confidentiality * Exceptional leadership and communication skills (written and verbal) * Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWorking Conditions:Typical hours are 9:30 am to 2:30 pm during the school year, with additional hours based on operational needs. Summer hours are an 8-hour day. The ideal candidate will fulfill training duties in between a regular AM/PM school bus run.Wage: $21.00 per hour
