We are meeting with top Designers and Architects across the industry and we are looking for a passionate, positive go-getter who is ready to learn and hit the ground running in the New York Metro area! The Business Development Lead at Vermont Farm Table is responsible for growing top-line revenue in line with company goals through new account development and existing account maintenance. This role will be focused across specific territories, with a central territory focus of Boston proper, with the aim of increasing awareness and driving sales of Vermont Farm Table with well-aligned designers and architects. The Business Development Lead at VFT will collaborate together with management to understand higher level company and sales strategy goals, and translate them into an actionable everyday sales approach. This role will also collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, product development and the wood shop team. Fast paced, passion, and a great work ethic are a must! Travel will be required. Qualifications Meet defined monthly revenue targets. Drive top line growth through building brand awareness, developing key relationships, growing leads and converting strategic, aligned opportunities. Work with the leadership team to successfully translate key goals and develop strategies, tools and tactics required for successful execution of the strategy. Build the Vermont Farm Table brand by embodying the values, culture and brand promise externally, and internally contribute to the culture and workplace by bringing your best and most authentic self and positive energy to the team. Successfully work cross-functionally within the organization by working with product development and the woodshop team to ensure appropriate product solutions for the client and job, that are profitable and aligned with VFT product goals. Work with marketing to integrate the sales and commercial development goals into the overall marketing plan, to ensure appropriate support for the sales efforts on the ground. Quote and bid jobs using accurate pricing and cost models, while maximizing profit opportunities. Recognize, recommend and lead efforts to establish and improve sales process, actively working with the rest of the business development team and management to consistently work towards improved process, results and customer background. Proficiency in managing and using technology in various platforms and applications, including but not limited to web, email, phone system, customer service application, and more. Must manage and adhere to the defined travel budget. NECESSARY SKILLS Undergraduate degree is required. Expertise to self-manage within an established set of goals and metrics Min of 5 yrs of sales and/or equivalent background. Solid demonstrated success at business development Extensive knowledge of sales tools, tactics Competence in reading and understanding drawings and architectural blueprints. Solid technical skills. Including web based apps, email management, spreadsheets, Mac OSX. Must have excellent interpersonal, managerial, organizational, and communications skills.
