STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and IndiaWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in application development, systems analysis, and data warehousing to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and have the expertise to support and enhance our business and reporting systems effectively. This role involves working under limited supervision and requires considerable independence, initiative, and judgment.Key Responsibilities: * Conduct meetings and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to elicit business requirements, operational constraints, and assumptions. * Oversee the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, from requirements gathering to solution implementation. * Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems to align them with overall business strategies. Document detailed user requirements, program functionalities, and development steps. * Participate in acceptance testing, report results, and retest as needed, ensuring project standards are met. * Prepare and document functional and technical specifications for reporting and data warehouse projects, assisting with business intelligence support and enhancements. * Collaborate with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing needs, proposing solutions to address them. * Provide knowledge transfer and training to other team members on reporting tools and platforms.Qualifications: * Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and one year of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with three years of experience, or five years of direct experience in the field. * Application Development: Minimum of three years of experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within application development. * Business Requirements: Minimum of three years of experience facilitating meetings to elicit business requirements. * Systems Analysis: Minimum of three years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs, with a focus on creating documents that detail user needs and program functions. * Data Warehousing: Minimum of three years of experience preparing technical specifications for data warehouse work, managing end-user reporting tools, and understanding reporting requirements. * Database Concepts: Minimum of three years of experience with relational databases and client-server concepts. * Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with project stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, database administrators, and policy staff.Additional DetailsThe base range for this contract position is $35 - $85/per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
