Benefits Specialist II - 509815 Apply now Job no: 509815 Work type: Regular Full-time (Benefits eligible) Location: Tuscaloosa Categories: Human Resources Pay Grade/Pay Range: 58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 40206.36 Midpoint - $ 58302.36 Department/Organization: 506141 - Benefits Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Position info: The Benefits Specialist II serves as the subject matter expert for benefit programs and associated policies and procedures. Provides assistance to employees about all aspects of benefit plans and enrollment. Acts as a liaison with vendors on special projects. Required Basic requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of background in a Human Resources or Benefits environment; OR Master’s degree and some Human Resources or Benefits background. Additional Required Department Basic requirements: Background to include at least one year in Benefits Administration. Skills and Knowledge: General benefits terminology; COBRA, Family and Medical Leave; current and recent benefits legislation and trends. Good computer skills to include spreadsheet and database applications. Preferred Requirements: Background in a human resources environment. Certification in human resources or recognized certification in the area of Benefits.
