Job Summary The Belt inspector is responsible for monitoring, removing and documenting any foreign material found on incoming product. Shift: 2nd Shift Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Oversees incoming of raw material to be free of forigen materials/out of spec product. Maintains consistent flow of material from initial receipt to processing. Monitors control panel and various gauges to ensure process maximum efficiencies. Assists with other tasks in the plant, as directed by supervisor/manager. Communicates issues or concerns with Shift Lead Person or Plant Manager. May be responsible for machinery start-up or shut-down. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations, and is responsible for maintaining Darling's Food Safety program. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 6 months of experience in industrial plant-related activity. Preferred Qualifications Work well with others in a team environment. Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task. Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Occasionally push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment.
