The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and complex bankruptcy matters and hold admission to the New Jersey Bar. Admission to the New York Bar is a plus. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and career development within a dynamic legal environment.Duties:Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice to clients.Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, motions, and other legal documents.Develop and implement legal strategies to protect clients' interests and assets.Attend court hearings, depositions, and negotiations on behalf of clients.Collaborate with clients, creditors, and opposing counsel to reach favorable resolutions.Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and billing information.Stay up-to-date with changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.Requirements:Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.1-8 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law.Strong knowledge of bankruptcy codes, regulations, and procedures.Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of bankruptcy cases.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Effective negotiation and dispute resolution abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High ethical standards and professional integrity.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Bar admission in the state of New Jersey (required).Bar admission in the state of New York (a plus).Skills:Bankruptcy law expertiseLegal research and analysisLitigation and courtroom experienceClient advocacy and counselingDocument preparation and filingCase management and organizationNegotiation and dispute resolutionProficiency in legal software and technologyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh ethical standards and professional integrity This firm values judicial clerkships--it even has a few former judges in its ranks.
