Come join our team as a FT Baker in our gourmet Bakery here at Uncle Giuseppe's in Tinton Falls, NJ! Our Bakers design, execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation, and process customer orders. Responsibilities Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.Decorating and displaying finished productsTesting ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controlsGreeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer serviceKeeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levelsTaking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on timeCleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shiftOther duties and functions as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalentFormal training as a baker, trade school, bakery program is desiredMust have a minimum of 3 years of baking experience, with in depth knowledge of baking cakes, breads, pastries and all other bakery productsMust have strong communication, time management and resource management skillsA strong sense of attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.Ability to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English languageFlexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
