Our high-volume auto dealership seeks a full-time Automotive General Manager to oversee and motivate our talented team of professionals. Ideal candidates for this position should have a track record of successful management positions with at least 3 years of experience, and a strong desire to succeed with integrity. You will oversee daily operations and assist sales and service managers in setting big but realistic goals. Responsibilities:Production management involving but not limited to:• Maintaining pulse on WIP (work in progress)• Monitoring work schedule to make sure we have a constant stream of work to keep the shop busy• Coordinating between departments to make sure the team is involved with the same plan, creating "hot sheets" or daily responsibilities for each department including parts, QC, body, paint, detail & mechanical• Meet sales goal of $55,000 per week along with other cycle & customer service goals• Running interference where needed with customers, insurance companies & other vendors• Write accurate estimates to ensure our GP on parts & labor are above 60% in labor & 33% on parts• Review monthly P&L statements with regional management to make sure the shop maintains profitability, creating a rotational Saturday schedule for front office coverage• Setting clear expectations & goals for each department with feedback & coaching when not met Qualifications: • Possess a state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record to operate dealership-owned vehicles• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor’s degree is a plus• The ability to interpret profit and loss statements and display strong leadership and communication skills is critical• At least three years of auto sales or general management experience for a dealership or corporate automotive group experience is needed• Understanding of the auto industry and its trends Compensation: $100,000 yearly About Company: Our location in Hackettstown is looking for an experienced auto body detailer. C&L Autobody is a regional Multiple-Shop Organization (MSO) with 10 body shops throughout Morris, Sussex, Warren, Union, and Middlesex counties in Northern NJ. We also manage one of the largest towing fleets in the state. As one of NJ’s largest family-owned MSOs, we pride ourselves on delivering an unmatched level of customer service and craftsmanship for all your collision repair needs. We offer full benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, and an IRA with a company match. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional Saturdays.
