Location: Winnipeg, MB or Scottsdale , AZ About the Role The goal of Autonomous and Precision Agriculture is to produce more crops with less effort, less impact on the environment and to address issues with labor shortages and sustainable growth. Are you interested in working with a world leader in autonomous and precision agriculture machinery to redefine the future of the agricultural industry? PTx Trimble is seeking a motivated individual for an opportunity in Autonomous Software Development for off-road vehicles. This individual would be responsible for the implementation and integration of leading-edge technology in real-world autonomous solutions. The code you write will control and monitor autonomous systems and interface with end-user applications locally and in the cloud. Responsibilities Software Development: Design, code, test, and debug software components for autonomous systems using ROS2, C++, and Python. System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of software components with hardware systems and other software components. Verification and Validation: Support system verification and validation efforts, including field testing. System Verification Tools: Develop and maintenance of system verification tools such as simulation platforms and HIL systems. Framework Enhancement: Contribute to enhancing the JCA Autonomous Framework (AFW) Platform by developing reusable components for perception, controls, navigation, and safety. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with hardware engineers, embedded engineers, and other team members to integrate software with hardware. Customer Support: Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide technical support on-site and remotely. The Work The successful candidate will work in the following areas: The JCA Autonomous Framework (AFW) Platform ( /autonomous-framework. html ).
