Practice Area: Litigation - Civil Rights, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney to join its Institutional Response Group. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a leading practice focused on Title IX and civil rights issues. The position can accommodate associates, counsel, or member-level attorneys based on experience and expertise.Duties:Conduct thorough investigations related to Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and civil rights or criminal laws addressing sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, as well as protected class discrimination or harassment.Assist institutions and governmental agencies in implementing trauma-informed and fair resolution processes.Develop written policies, procedures, and educational materials to promote compliance and awareness.Ensure compliance with Title IX, the Clery Act, and child protection frameworks.Provide support and guidance on safety and security issues and governance related to institutional misconduct.Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including educational institutions, corporations, and non-profits, to design effective systems and infrastructure.Requirements:Proven experience in investigations related to Title IX and related laws.Strong knowledge of the Clery Act and child protection frameworks.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Highly motivated with demonstrated organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.Licensed to practice law in the state of application.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the state bar where the attorney is applying.Skills:Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal issues and develop effective solutions.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Willingness to travel as required for the role.Benefits:Supportive work environment focused on professional growth and development.
