Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer), Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation practice in Washington, DC. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team on complex litigation matters, including commercial disputes, construction litigation, and government contracts. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in litigation, a strong academic background, and excellent interpersonal skills. This role provides a supportive environment for professional growth, with opportunities to build a practice in a dynamic firm.Duties:Handle complex commercial litigation matters, including construction disputes and government contracts.Assist with administrative dispute resolution related to construction and infrastructure.Manage a variety of cases from inception through resolution, including legal research, drafting motions, and preparing documents.Collaborate with team members and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.Develop and maintain client relationships, providing strategic legal advice and updates on case progress.Ensure compliance with deadlines and high-quality work under pressure.Contribute to the firm’s growth by actively participating in business development and client outreach.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of experience.Strong academic credentials.Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong writing ability.Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.Demonstrated ability to manage cases, deadlines, and client expectations under pressure.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the bar association (Washington, DC or applicable jurisdiction).Skills:Expertise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.Strong research, writing, and drafting skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster professional relationships.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k).Hybrid work environment, with three days in the office and flexibility for remote work.Opportunities for professional development and career growth in a collaborative environment.
