This position is based in Salem and requires travel throughout Massachusetts for court appearances and client visits.Location:Salem, MADuties:Handle a caseload of 50-60 cases, primarily criminal defense, with some family law and civil casesRepresent clients in court appearances, including pre-trial and trial proceedingsConduct jail visits and maintain regular client communicationPerform legal research, draft motions, and prepare court filingsDevelop strategies for client cases, focusing on achieving optimal outcomesBuild and maintain strong client relationships by setting expectations and addressing concernsRequirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal lawAt least 5 jury trials completed as lead counselMassachusetts Bar Admission (required)Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across MassachusettsEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active Massachusetts Bar LicenseSkills:Strong courtroom and trial experienceExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to build and manage client relationships effectivelyAttention to detail and commitment to ethical representationBilingual in Spanish is a plus but not requiredBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistance
