Practice Area: Tax - Exempt Organization, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm seeks a collaborative Associate Attorney to join its Tax practice in Minneapolis. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with a focus on tax law, particularly in working with tax-exempt organizations.Duties:Provide legal counsel on various tax law matters, with a focus on tax-exempt organizations under Code Sections 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6).Assist clients in the management of restricted funds and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents related to tax issues.Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective strategies for clients in the tax-exempt sector.Stay current with changes in tax law and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients.Requirements:A minimum of two years of experience in tax law is required.Experience with tax-exempt organizations and familiarity with charitable solicitation rules is beneficial.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex tax issues.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective client interaction.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the bar of the state in which you will practice is required.Skills:Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to client success.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling legal documents and compliance matters.Proficiency in legal research and the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.Dedication to providing exceptional client service and exercising sound judgment in all legal matters.Benefits:Comprehensive health insurance coverage.Options for dental and vision insurance.Retirement plan designed to promote long-term financial wellness.Life insurance for additional security.Paid time off to support a healthy work-life balance.Professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
