Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General,Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Job Overview:A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate will manage a significant caseload focused on defense litigation and insurance coverage litigation. This role requires a blend of legal research, drafting, and client interaction skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle a substantial caseload involving primarily defense litigation and insurance coverage litigation.Draft, prepare, and manage pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.Draft and respond to written discovery requests and dispositive motions.Conduct legal research competently and proficiently.Prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses.Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and prepare status report correspondence.Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances.Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff.Requirements:1-3 years of relevant experience in defense and insurance coverage litigation.Must be licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.Additional court admissions would be considered a plus.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar.Skills:Proficient in legal research and analytical tasks.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks effectively.Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and navigating the internet.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Location:Milwaukee, WI Founded in 1998, this firm specializes in a wide range of areas including business litigation, insurance coverage, workers' compensation, intellectual property, product liability, and others.
