This full-time position focuses on family law and domestic relations, offering an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team while handling a caseload that involves litigation, negotiation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to manage client relationships, and passionate about providing top-tier legal support in family law matters. Travel to various courts across Northern Virginia is required.DutiesProvide legal support to clients, assisting senior attorneys in managing family law and domestic relations casesDraft legal documents, including agreements, motions, and pleadingsRepresent clients in court hearings and proceedings in Northern Virginia courts, including Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, and Fauquier countiesMaintain and build client relationships, offering exceptional customer service and communicationConduct legal research to support case preparation and strategyNegotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving legal disputesCollaborate with other attorneys and staff members to ensure efficient case managementStay informed on developments in family law and domestic relations to provide accurate legal adviceRequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar1-3 years of experience in family law or related practice areas preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Westlaw and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to manage multiple cases and meet deadlinesA keen interest in family law and domestic relations mattersEducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive Virginia State Bar licenseSkillsLegal research and writing skillsStrong negotiation and advocacy abilitiesClient relationship managementAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamProficient in legal research tools such as WestlawExperience in court appearances and hearings in Northern VirginiaBenefits401(k) with matching contributionsHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)Professional development opportunities
