This full-time position offers an opportunity to handle a variety of cases related to MassHealth/Medicaid applications, estate planning, and probate, while also contributing to guardianship and conservatorship matters. The firm values diversity and inclusion, fostering a respectful work environment that reflects the communities it serves.DutiesManage a personal caseload encompassing estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, and probate administration.Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, petitions, and MassHealth applications.Compile and organize verifications to complete MassHealth applications.Provide case updates and maintain organized client files.Conduct legal research to support case strategies.File documents at various courts and communicate effectively with court personnel.Attend networking events to represent the firm and contribute to business development.Assist with marketing initiatives, such as drafting blog posts and preparing presentations.Collaborate with colleagues on case reviews and office support tasks.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar in Massachusetts.Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.Proven ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.Strong research and legal writing skills.Must demonstrate trustworthiness and a commitment to ethical practice.EducationJuris Doctorate from an accredited institution.CertificationsActive membership in the Massachusetts Bar.SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.BenefitsHealthcare stipend or access to group insurance.40 hours of paid time off, in addition to holidays and sick leave.Opportunities for professional development and community engagement.
