Are you an experienced leader passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors? Primary Job Purpose: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Director of Assisted Living to oversee the operations of six assisted living communities. The Regional Director will provide strategic leadership, ensure operational excellence, and uphold our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for our neighbors. This individual will work closely with department heads and community leadership teams to drive performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster an enriching, supportive environment for both residents and team members. Essential Job Functions: * Practices the Values, the Mission and Philosophy of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. Leadership & Strategic Planning: * Provide visionary leadership across six assisted living communities, setting strategic goals and implementing operational plans to achieve them. * Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. * Cultivate a positive, resident-centered culture that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and excellent service. * Participates in the Directors Team. Operational Management: * Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring each community meets high standards of care, safety, and resident satisfaction. * Manage resources effectively, optimizing staffing, budgeting, and facility resources to maintain efficient operations. * Develop, implement, and refine operational policies and procedures to standardize practices and ensure consistency across all communities. * Responsible for assisting the administrators as needed, convening the monthly department meetings, assisting with admission screening, admission processes, discharge planning, or ensuring the building administrators are performing this task. * Will serve as the interim administrator in a building as the need arises. Financial Oversight: * Develop and manage annual budgets for each community, monitoring financial performance to meet or exceed financial goals. * Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality of care and services. * Analyze financial reports, conduct audits, and make recommendations for improvements. Quality & Compliance: * Ensure all communities comply with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies. * Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance with licensing standards and quality metrics. * Provides oversight and direction for the Quality Assurance program to include assessments, audits and improvement plans for key finance and operation areas. * Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, addressing any deficiencies or areas of concern proactively. * Must maintain confidentiality of all work-related information per HIPAA regulations. * Responsible for incident and accident reporting and abuse/neglect investigations to meet State, Federal, and Risk Management guidelines. Resident & Family Engagement: * Foster a supportive and engaging environment for residents, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued. * Act as a liaison for residents’ families, addressing concerns, communicating effectively, and providing regular updates on community initiatives and resident well-being. * Encourage family involvement in resident activities and care planning. Team Development & Management: * Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing leadership teams within each community. * Set performance standards, conduct regular evaluations no less than annually, and provide constructive feedback to staff. * Promote professional development and create succession planning initiatives to support career growth within the organization. Community Relations & Outreach: * Develop relationships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to promote the communities and strengthen referral sources. * Represent the organization in community events and other opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation. * Identify and lead initiatives to increase community engagement and occupancy. In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon Eben Ezer needs or requirements. Non-Essential Job Functions: * Serves on various Eben Ezer committees. Other Skills and Abilities: * Ability to enter data accurately. * Ability to think critically, be detail-oriented, work well with peers and subordinates, handle multiple interruptions, and work on multiple tasks throughout the day. * Must have good writing and communication skills. * Ability to communicate well with residents, their families, care partners, and other team members. * Ability to listen well and process information. * Experience working with elderly population. * Must be able to delegate and hold accountable appropriate responsibilities to other team members.
