We advise all departments throughout the company on various legal issues faced by a digitally driven media company. Our tasks range from counseling on proposed initiatives; reviewing and advising on agreements; drafting, implementing and enforcing policies; advising on content prior to publication; and responding to claims.Role/ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a person who can provide practical and creative advice on commercial agreements, privacy law, and employment law. The person would have the opportunity to draft and negotiate various commercial agreements and counsel different businesses on implementing privacy by design into new and existing products and services.QualificationsJ.D. degree, admitted to the New York State Bar (in good standing).3-5 years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal department specializing in commercial transactions, privacy, and/or employment law.Experience with privacy and/or employment laws (including California, UK, and EU laws).Experience with drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.Technical fluency with marketing and ad-tech tools.For this role, the estimated base salary range, depending on level of experience, is $175,000.00 - $205,000.00.About Fortune:At Fortune Media, our mission is to change the world by making business better.
