Assembly Operative Location: Oxfordshire Salary: Base GBP25,500 : Earning potential to exceed GBP30,000 per annum Term: Full time, permanent Hours: Mon : Friday with Optional overtime The Role To be responsible for undertaking multi: skilled duties, as allocated within The Pyrotechnic Assembly department, to contribute to and maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided by Production and maintain standards at the highest level in accordance with Company and Departmental procedures. Key Responsibilities : Follow Work Instructions / Engineering Drawings to manufacture Pyrotechnic assemblies Accurately assemble components, to required tolerances within laid down procedures. : Ensure work is completed in accordance with required work schedules and quality standards : Accurately interpret assembly drawings and production documents so that Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batches are Identified and recorded correctly. : Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations so that: Components are not damaged through mishandling Accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling Batch traceability is maintained throughout production Scrap is handled in a safe manner. : Use tools and jigs in a suitable fashion to enable assembly of components without causing damage to the components or incurring injury to oneself and other employees. : Maintain standards of cleanliness and housekeeping so that the Pyrotechnic assembly area remains a safe, clean and efficient working environment for all employees. : Undertake any other duties as required to ensure the smooth flow of production through the Pyrotechnic assembly area. Skills and Experience Understanding H and S practices Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
