Everywhere from NASCAR to NASA.Assembly Machinist Job Functions: Select and change cutting inserts, arbors and plugsSet O.D. size, face size, groove size and chamfer size properly. True arbor. Set cutting tool speed and RPM speed properly. Set appropriate gauges to print specifications.Run 1st piece part, make necessary adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval. Load parts, cycle machine, check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality characteristics of part per print specifications throughout machining operations. Maintain all machine fluid levelsSign out all necessary gauging equipment from Q.A. and set gauges per print specificationsSurface grind and re-sharpen teeth on arbor as needed.
