Description:
Duties: Work under the direct supervision of a licensed California architect to create architectural designs and plans for residential and retail development projects; transfer conceptual drawings to cohesive computer-generated designs; create detailed models and three-dimensional interactive representations using specialized software including Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM), taking into account space, setbacks, height, mass, parking, sustainability and environmental elements, and other factors; research and compile information regarding structural specifications, materials, estimated costs and timelines; assess functional and spatial requirements and integrate project specifications into unified architectural designs; prepare reports and general notes about dimensions, security, Green Building and fire codes and General Notes for contractors; conduct reviews for permit applications, zoning and building codes; research environmental factors and incorporate sustainable elements such as solar energy systems, electric vehicle supply equipment, or other alternative energy systems/ components into project designs for review by a licensed California architect; participate in community meetings or presentations of proposed projects to local land use/planning committees or neighborhood councils; and maintain architectural project documentation, studies and reports in accordance with internal company policies.Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Architecture or a related field and one (1) year of experience as Architecture Designer or in a related occupation. Requires experience with/knowledge of: visualization, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Green Building practices, facade system design, code interpretation, building life, and safety compliance.Rate of Pay: $88,712 per yearTo apply, email resume to and reference job title.
