APRN Fellowship January 2025 start Brief Overview: The Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplant Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Fellowship will provide New Graduate Nurse Practitioners (or Nurse Practitioners new to the pediatric inpatient environment) with an in-depth clinical experience in a specific inpatient medical setting. Applicants to select one of the three core specialties. This nine-month, full-time APRN Fellowship will build competency by means of hands-on direct care experiences, didactic classes, simulation and presentations. The APRN Fellows will train with physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and integrate with members of the multidisciplinary team. APRN Fellows will be supported by a core team of APRN leaders, preceptors, and mentors. This Nurse Practitioner Fellow will be responsible for: Front-line care and coordination of pediatric patients including assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, bedside procedures, and family centered care of patients and their families.Consulting and collaborating with acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members on all assigned inpatients during daily rounds. Conducting patient assessment and medical history, physical exams, and diagnosing health and developmental problems.Caring for patients with both acute and chronic disease by managing therapeutic regimens according to approved guidelines.Participating in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives, as well as facilitation of patient/family and multidisciplinary team communication.Schedule: 36 hours with day/night/weekend rotationTo qualify, you must have: Graduated from an accredited MSN/NP or DNP Program.PNP or FNP Board CertificationMassachusetts NP license MCSR and DEA upon hireBLS upon hirePALS certification within 3 months of hireBoston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
